Spend the day extending your knowledge or learn a brand new skill using the Collections as inspiration.  Artist and felt maker, Penny Dixon will be there all day to support your ideas and offer guidance in a supportive atmosphere.

You will be taught the basic skills in the felt making process, gaining a knowledge of wool and its properties and the historical context of felt making.  You will have the opportunity to apply your new skills to produce your own decorative art for a wall hanging, mat or sculptural piece.

The activities may involve some periods of standing and some aspects of using the hands, arms and shoulders but please contact us to discuss your specific situation and needs.

Please wear old clothes and bring a waterproof apron. A plastic bag may be useful to take home a damp piece
