The University of Wolverhampton
Inspiring Teachers exhibition

Each year, students from the BEd Degree course in Primary Teacher Education at The University of Wolverhampton (Walsall Campus), engage with the Gallery in a partnership project.

This ongoing relationship aims to develop the students’ knowledge and understanding of teaching art and to equip them with the skills and confidence to engage their own students with the Gallery’s programmes.

Year 2 students learn how to use gallery displays to plan an effective programme of work for primary children and develop their own research, art skills and knowledge of art galleries.  Using The Garman Ryan Collection at the Gallery, students work individually to develop artistic ideas and to produce final pieces of artwork for this exhibition.
