Support for Arts Award Discover
Part A: Discover
- By taking part in one of our paid practical workshops, students will be able to take part in a range of arts activities.
- By visiting the gallery students will be able to identify a number of art forms.
Part B: Find out
- By visiting the gallery students will be exposed to a variety of different artists. Here at The New Art Gallery Walsall we offer free introductory talks, which would provide students with the opportunity to find out about artists and their work.
Part C: Share
- During any of our practical workshops students can be provided with the opportunity to share their work with their peers.
We also offer:
Arts Award ‘Discover in a Day’
Working with a trained Arts Award advisor for a day, pupils investigate different art forms and learn about an artist. Taking part in a practical workshop allows them to use their new knowledge and share their work with the rest of the group, contributing towards their Arts Award Discover.
A great workshop to support your GCSE take-up and the Primary to Secondary transition or an addition to your post SAT’s programme.
