Would you like to try some experimenting with your artwork? Are you ready to try out something different for fun? Sometimes your artwork might not be with art materials at all. You might be testing how things join, working out how things stand up, exploring how far your imagination can go, it might be a larger than life or a tiny artwork to fit a matchbox. What will you make?
These FREE sessions are held in the school holidays and are for everyone to join in together, all ages. Each session is different in what you might make or create. Each week during the school holidays there is a theme for that week inspired by one of the displays in the gallery.
Some of our previous activities include the black and white collages in Face It, inspired by the work of John Stezaker in the FOUND exhibition in 2015, giant junk modelled head in Max Headroom inspired by the Theo head in the portrait room in the Garman Ryan Galleries, or glitzy armbands in Egyptians inspired by the Egyptian artefacts in the collection.
There might be some messy things to make so please wear old clothes.
