Back of House Tour – The New Art Gallery Walsall

A behind the scenes tour with Head of Collections, Jo Digger. The visit will include a tour of the Art Gallery plant room, technical services and the art store and archives, viewing artworks which have not been seen for many years. Walsall Art Gallery started collecting in 1892 and is still collecting today.
There are over 3,000 artworks in its collections with approximately 380 on view to the public at any time. Whilst appointments can be made to see particular works, this is an opportunity to gain a overview of Walsall’s collections with their curator and discover the treasure trove of art hidden deep in the basement of The New Art Gallery Walsall.
