Breastfeeding Awareness Day

Bonny, bouncing, beautiful, baby day! Celebrate National Breastfeeding Week with our sensory Baby Palace and other crafty baby, fun activities. Breastfeeding support services will be present and introduction to solid foods information will be provided.


Are you pregnant, a new parent, a grandparent or working with families? Join us for some relaxing time at this free family event.


Breastfeeding is the normal and most healthy way to feed your baby. This free event on Tuesday 19 June, 11am – 3pm at The New Art Gallery Walsall aims to provide awareness of the benefits and convenience of breastfeeding for pregnant women and their families.  The event also promotes access to breastfeeding support available in Walsall.  Staff working with families are also welcome.  Activities, information and access to support will be available throughout the day.

The New Art Gallery Walsall is a breastfeeding friendly venue and we invite mothers and their babies to experience Baby Palace, a relaxing sensory room for under 2s and their carers, take part in a crafty baby fun workshops and Baby Ballet, find out about Walsall’s Breastfeeding Support Service and have a tour of specially selected artworks from the Garman Ryan collection. Free refreshments & healthy snacks, information and resources stands and storytelling sessions will also be available.
