Walsall-based artist Cameron Galt isn’t travelling far for his summer holiday: he will be temporarily setting up camp in the Artists’ Studio at The New Art Gallery Walsall and bringing along his paints, brushes and watercolour paper…..
Cameron recently painted the Walsall landscape as viewed from the gallery’s roof terrace. These works currently hang within the Garman Ryan galleries and reflect Walsall in a key moment of transition and redevelopment. During his residency, Cameron will continue his study of Walsall through a series of portraits of its residents and local characters.
Look out for a workshop with Cameron – an award winning watercolourist – which will be advertised soon.
Cameron will be giving a talk about his work on Saturday 10 September 2011 at 3.30pm. Free – all welcome.
