Celebrating Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2011

Are you pregnant, a new parent or grandparent? Join us for some relaxing time at this free family event.

Breastfeeding is the normal and most healthy way to feed your baby. This free event on Tuesday 21 June, 11am – 3.30pm at The New Art Gallery Walsall aims to provide awareness of the benefits and convenience of breastfeeding for pregnant women and their families.  The event also promotes access to breastfeeding support available in Walsall.  Staff working with families are also welcome.  Activities, information and access to support will be available throughout the day.

The New Art Gallery Walsall is a breastfeeding friendly venue and we invite mothers and their babies to experience Baby Palace, a relaxing sensory room for under 2s and their carers, take part in a calming caterpillars and mandala making workshop, have a go at Baby Yoga or Baby Ballet infant and parent exercise, find out about Walsall’s Breastfeeding Support Service and have a tour of specially selected artworks from the Garman Ryan collection.

Free refreshments & healthy snacks, information and resources stands and storytelling sessions will also be available.

Free, all welcome, no need to book, just drop in.
