The grand finale of Sean Burn’s 18 month-long residency will take place in February. Newcastle based artist Sean Burn has been working with the gallery to develop his interest in reclaiming the ‘language of lunacy’ and has produced various interventions in and around the building. Last autumn, for example, visitors were invited to ‘lose their marbles’ in a game with the artist.
Sean will be continuing to develop his work in the Artists’ Studio from 14-26 February 2011.
An open studio event will be held on Saturday 26 February 12-2pm. Free – all welcome.
Pop into the studio to meet the artist or visit our website to view Sean’s progress. Sean’s work will also be featured in the exhibition The Life of the Mind: Love, Sorrow and Obsession, 21 January 2010 – 20 March 2011.
