This day course, led by Japanese artist Sumiko Eadon, introduces participants to drypoint etching. This etching technique prints without chemicals. It is an opportunity to experience the whole process from designing and platemaking to printing through the press. The session will look specifically at some etching and drypoint prints on display, Rembrandt van Rijn, The Agony in the Garden c1657 and Pablo Picasso, Head of a Woman in Profile, from the Saltimbanques’ suite 1905.
