The New Art Gallery Walsall has teamed up with Birmingham-based Extra Special People/Eastside Projects to host Group Occupation, a series of three, short, interconnecting residencies.

An Endless Supply, Adam Smythe and Flore Nove-Josserand will share the Artists’ Studio space for the month of March and develop new work independently and/or collectively.  Nine artists will participate in the project altogether and at the end of each residency period the artists will be opening the door to the studio to share their new ideas.

Open studio event and artists’ talks:

Saturday 31 March

2pm – 4pm

Free – all welcome.

Flore Nové-Josserand is a London-based French artist, who works with painted objects and site-specific interventions to create visual ‘situations’ of augmented aesthetic significance. Going into the work are concerns about painting, form and colour, surface and texture, behaviour, design and use of space, decoration and appropriation. The resulting ‘situation’ creates an active relationship from object to object and between objects and the viewer.

An Endless Supply is a design studio and independent publishing activity organised by Harry Blackett and Robin Kirkham. Working in many roles — as designers, editors, printers, commissioners — a primary objective of the studio is to support the production of new art and writing.
