IN is a pioneering visual arts project increasing the number of Disabled and Deaf artists working with mainstream galleries.DASH’s Artistic Director Mike Layward introduces you to this ground-breaking concept, the galleries, the artists and their work.We then hand you over to internationally renowned performance artist Bobby Baker (author of recently published book Diary Drawings: Mental Illness and Me) as she strikes up an unmissable conversation with The New Art Gallery Walsall’s resident artist, Sean Burn.

Sean continues his year long residency at the gallery with a particular interest in reclaiming the ‘languages of lunacy’ and a body of work in progress including assemblages, visual poetry, and interventions around the gallery.
Sean will be in the gallery’s Artists Studio from the 6-17 September and developing a changing exhibition of his current work on Floor 1 through to February 2011.
