Join our Artist in Residence for a workshop incorporating her practice of walking and drawing. Starting and finishing at The New Art Gallery Walsall, this route will comprise the canal, the high street and the Arboretum.

Using chalk pencils and black boards we’ll record what we see, including interesting historical architecture and picturesque views of the park with its trees, lakes and lodges.

No prior experience of drawing is necessary, and you do not need to be an experienced walker as we will take a slow and steady pace. The total walked distance will be approximately 4km/2.5 miles.

The route is accessible for mobility scooters and wheelchair users.

Please wear suitable clothing and bring an umbrella.

All drawing materials will be provided.

This is an 18+ event.

Booking essential. To book a place, call reception on 01922 654400 or email Alex Jolly, Learning and Engagement Coordinator- Alex.jolly@walsall.gov.uk
