Following an open call to early career artists in the West Midlands that attracted nearly 40 submissions, we are delighted to announce that Coventry-based artist, ANDI (she/her) has been selected for the Clive Beardsmore Artist Award.
ANDI makes oil paintings that document and reflect on queer and trans experiences. She will spend twelve weeks in the Gallery’s purpose-built Artists’ Studio developing new paintings, working at a larger scale for the first time. The residency will be supported by a 12-month programme of creative coaching delivered by Ceri Hand, an Arts and Business coach to extraordinary creatives across the globe.
ANDI will be in residence at the Gallery from 13 January – 5 April 2026.
