Schools

The New Art Gallery Walsall is here for you and your group to explore.

Visiting an art gallery helps pupils with different learning styles develop confidence and provides them with an out of classroom learning experience that really promotes speaking and listening. A gallery visit encourages the growth of imagination, supports engagement with the world and brings art to life.

‘It (the workshop/visit) was such a fantastic experience for the children – they still talk about it. We finished the term with our own art exhibition in a local building that has a small art gallery and the parents came along and were able to buy the paintings. It was all very much inspired by the visit to Walsall. The progress in both their knowledge and skills was directly related to their experiences on the day.’
