Collections Tour

Join Julie Jones, Gallery Assistant to explore the stories behind some of the artefacts currently on display in the Garman Ryan Collection, such as the New Zealand Hei Tiki and the Cameroon Stool; we will discuss how they were made and the materials used.

We will discuss how these artefacts would later influence  some of the 20th Century artists on display such as Jacob Epstein, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska and Amedeo Modigliani, in particular the re-generation of direct carving.
