Nature and Climate Youth Fair

Thursday 22 May 2025. 10am-3pm. Free. Please reserve a space via Eventbrite (link below) so that we know how many people to expect

We invite young people to The New Art Gallery Walsall for a day of stalls, talks, performances, demonstrations, and practical activities, as we explore current nature and climate concerns. We come together to learn and share, and to discuss our thoughts, feelings and hopes for the future.


9.30am – Stall holders arrive to set up.

10am – Attendees arrive.

10.15am – Welcome and opening thoughts.

10.25am – Climate Psychology Alliance (Introduction to the Work that Reconnects Spiral – this outlines our relationship to nature and ways in which we can take action, and Grounding in Gratitude activity – speaking, writing or drawing what we love about the more than human world/what we are grateful for here and now).

10.50am – Performance by Walsall College drama students.

11:30 – Break. Refreshments served.

12pm – Activities with Climate Psychology Alliance + More than Human den activity (In breakout rooms) facilitated by King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy.

1- 1:45pm – Lunch provided (vegan)

1.45pm – Activities in Earthbound exhibition.

2:30 – Final activity and round-up.

3pm – End

Walsall Council’s Climate Change Team will also be available throughout the day to discuss the Walsall Net Zero 2041 Strategy.
